Baptism of Fire – Welcome aboard Scotty!

scottography Scotty Martin joined the team just over a week ago now.  After a short stay in Cusco to get over the jetlag & altitude, Scotty joined the boys at Pilpinto. Little did he know what the Apurimac had installed….. With an epic week on the Apurimac Scotty proved not only is he a talented man on the camera but is also a pretty handy river man. In such a short space of time Scotty has become an integral part of our team with and without the camera. We’ll see what else we can organise for you on the Apurimac Scotty…..

Hike Highlights

Nath & Mark jumped out of the tent to investigate & Phil remained in the tent as our last resort Secret Weapon – within 2 minutes we were surrounded by 30 natives tuning us in Quechuan – now our Spanish is not so great but our Quechuan is even worse. Nath was thinking… “I reckon I can take about 3 of these guys over the cliff face, Marko can take the other 27! In the end our young muel owner had to help us communicate & it seemed as if we had camped up on the local land of these chaps – they let us stay there but we had to meet them the next morning for a mini trial where they wanted to see our Authorisation Papers – Huh? Nath pulled out his trusty Journalist Visa & seemed to baffle them with official looking papers – it worked & we were able to push on!
